Coordinated Beatdown EP – South Signatures 02

Berlin-based South Signatures returns with its second release, Coordinated Beatdown – a four-track collaboration built for shadowy, late-night floors. ‘Binary Pulse’ sets the tone with seismic kicks and tightly wound percussion, its modular grit cutting through cavernous reverb. ‘Echo Alliance’ pushes into tense dubby-techno territory, a rolling groove threaded with taut modulation. On the flip, ‘Divide’ brings a chuggy loop with floaty synths, before ‘Spillo’ closes in tribute to the duo’s late friend, its deep, enveloping pads offset by razor-sharp rhythmic accents. Tough, focused and unpretentious – it’s functional techno at its best.
