Seven-months on from his last outing for the label, British techno veteran Inigo Kennedy returns to regular home Token. On the A-side you’ll find «Tornado», a no-nonsense techno excursion featuring dense, whirlwind beats, glacial electronic melodies and psychedelic synthesizer motifs. Despite the heaviness of its groove, it’s a pleasingly tuneful and mood-enhancing affair. On Side B he doffs a cap to early British «intelligent techno» pioneers via the swinging electro breakbeats and Boards of Canada melodies of «Glacier», before returning to heavy, locked-in techno pastures on the funk-fuelled late night roller «Voyager». Rock solid fare, as usual.
