Platipus 30 Years Vol 6
Llega la sexta entrega de la serie 30 Years del sello Platipus, formada por cuatro clásicos míticos del trance.
The sixth instalment in Platipus’s 30 Years series underlines why the UK label became so defining for trance. Robert Miles’ ‘Children’ (Dream version) still towers as a generational anthem, its piano motif instantly transporting to the mid-90s moment when trance crossed into the mainstream. Art of Trance’s ‘Cambodia’ (Clanger remix) digs deeper – a spiralling, hallucinatory cut that shows the label’s more experimental edge. On the flip, Simon Berry teams with Luke Brancaccio for ‘Pukwudgie’, a modern construction that keeps the hypnotic Platipus DNA alive without feeling nostalgic. Closing the set, POB’s ‘Bluebottle’ (feat DJ Patrick Reid) resurfaces as a rediscovered gem – dark, rolling and perfectly suited to late-night sessions. As with the earlier volumes, this 12″ balances history with rediscovery, tracing Platipus’s journey from era-defining floorfillers to cult classics.
