The cult appeal of 11Schnull & Newinfluenzer’s 2023 electro oddity gets its due with a remix plate via Turbo, courtesy of some unusually well-matched contributors. The original track is all awkward charisma-German-language vocals murmured like they’re eavesdropped on a commute, riding a tweaky electro chassis with the slippery unease of early Liaisons Dangereuses. Matias Aguayo’s take leans into the theatre, pushing it toward slowed-down, narcotic cabaret, while DJ MELL G twists it into ghetto-tech-adjacent frenzy. Extrawelt’s version feels classicist by contrast-crisp, gothic and taut. Architectural’s flips it into a thundering techno trip, turning subtle tension into maximal release. Tiga’s faith in this track is well placed: it’s weird, seductive and singular, and these reworks don’t just preserve that-they amplify it. An ode to the strange power of a hook delivered sideways.
