This new split EP is a trans-generational meeting of frequencies and spiritual intensity that bridges the roots of the so-called freetekno sound. On the A-side, underground pioneer 69db delivers two live-crafted tracks – one confronting the ongoing genocide in Palestine, the other exploring the performative aspects of contemporary culture, both channelling decades of sound system energy. The B-side features Gen Unit, aka Kaisei Kitada and Scam Artist, with two dense, hypnotic compositions steeped in the classic old-school freetekno ethos. Across four tracks, analogue realness brushes up with digital precision, chaos converses with control, and minds are blown.
