Trudge’s EP for Molekul is a hard-edged plunge into his shadowy, bass-first vision of techno. Each track tightens the screws: ‘I Miss You’ sets the tone with stark propulsion, while ‘Negative Affirmations’ sharpens the tension through brittle percussion and distant synth swirls. It’s minimal in design but sounds like very little else. ‘I’m Not Doing That’ pushes the pressure further, all grit and nervous momentum. The closing collaboration with Caiva, ‘Shades of Hesitations,’ adds a spectral human presence without softening the blow. Designed for peak-time rigour, the EP is a lean, mean, groove machine.
