Dimi Angelis turns the page with the ‘Transmuted’ EP, slotting neatly into a career that began in the late 90s when he helped energise his home Amsterdam’s warehouse circuit. Known for his long partnerships with Jeroen Search as A&S, plus a steady supply of solo works on labels across Europe, Angelis has kept his name tied to lean, hard-edged techno, resisting dilution. His new contribution to Nechto now carries that slow-honed competency to a new six-track run, where the clipped punch of ‘Tones On Tail’, the vaporous swirl of ‘Haze’ and the needling pulse of ‘Metavoid’ all circle his longstanding knack for reduction and pressure.
