Berlin-based producer and live performer ASEC is next up on Blue Hour Music with a deep but hard techno sound that taps into both body and brain. ‘Not By Merit’ is a brilliantly scruffy soul with off-grid kicks and synth twangs sure to liven any set and ‘Nighthawks’ then dials up the intensity with more fraught rhythms and uneasy synth loops. ‘Threat Detection’ is another speedy one that is more stripped back with undulating drums and smart filters building the tension as it surges through space. ‘I Exist’ carries on with the same energy and ensures you don’t have a moment to breathe.
