Having appeared on the recent Blunted Breaks collection, and a Shadow Rhythms VA a few years before that, Sergey Komarov levels up his Western Lore presence with his first full EP on the label and it’s a feast for all the senses the moment that iconic vocal hits you on ‘The Way’. Plenty more twists and turns follow throughout this beguiling collection; ‘One More Chance’ takes things deeper into the jungle techno / hardcore territory with a slower speed and some really interesting vocal elements, ‘Kindred Spirit’ is all about the euphoria and early rave energy right down to the last skippy breakbeat while ‘Daybreak Survivors’ is a special dedication to the sunrise crew who’ve raved all night. Note the ‘Part 1’ in the title – we can’t wait for the second instalment!
