Samurai Saibai 1 – Saibai 01
El productor Brendon Moeller se encarga de inaugurar el nuevo subsello del mítico Samurai Music alemán.
Samurai Music opens a quieter corridor with the launch of Saibai, and Brendon Moeller proves an inspired guide. Born in South Africa and now based in the US, Moeller has spent decades refining a dubwise language that values space as much as pressure, and this release leans fully into that sensibility. The opening stretch of ‘Broken Time Machine’ and ‘Cobalt Rhythm’ immediately signals a shift in tone: drums feel live and slightly unmoored, synths shimmer with small, human imperfections and bass moves patiently beneath it all. As the record unfolds, pieces like ‘Infinity Crossing’ and ‘Tape Residue’ reveal a careful attention to texture and pacing, while ‘Riot Drone Assembly’ closes with a low-slung intensity that never tips into heaviness. It’s meditative without drifting, rhythmically engaged without demanding movement, setting out Saibai’s intentions with clarity and quiet confidence.
