Vibrations EP – Planet Rhythm Special Series 17

Planet Rhythm inhabitant Deas (Koral Mozgawa) daren’t look back on the territories he left behind (Greece, then Poland), proving he’s happier in outer space here with the ‘Vibrations’ EP, and in so doing setting the year off on a strong establishing foot. It works in a sweet spot of techno pace that could only be demanded of 2026 and no other year so far: ‘Fake Things’ and ‘Let Me Know’ establish +160BPM as the new normal, though the textural providence is the same as ever for PR: blaring chromatic chord stabs and spike-studded kicks, 100% necessary for dealing with the black ice that forms round this time of year.
