Saense – Animalia 18

Aedis’s debut on Animalia is a fine one that introduces a focused and immersive take on techno. Shaped between Barcelona roots and Amsterdam influence, the EP explores an off-centre, dub-tinged sound built around groove, restraint and subtle motion, always with expert sound design at the centre. Across four tracks, tight rhythmic frameworks anchor the record while evolving textures and small sonic shifts create tension. ‘Saense’ is minimal in structure but rich in detail, ‘Extarnel’ prioritises movement and atmosphere over excess, ‘Ortogon’ is darker and more menacing and ‘Vaen’ is a closer marbled with alien details and underworld energy.
