Dibu-Z’s debut album «Junk DNA» lands on Dominance Electricity after more than 15 years of EPs on a range of other labels. The German artist has really found his own sound in that time, as exemplified here with a dynamic package of carefully selected and sequenced tracks. There is scene setting ambiance to open things up, before morphing into icy broken beat minimalism like «Gnarly» and wiry electro synthesis («Signal») to make your brain short circuit. It is a coherent and cohesive album of timeless electro journeys that run a fine gamut of emotions.
