First out in the late 90s, DJ Misjah and Groovehead tunnelled through Rotterdam acid techno on this duo-defining EP, building four trenchless constructions in ‘Acid Energy’. Misjah, born Misja Helsloot, built his name through releases on labels like X-Trax, R&S and Planet Rhythm, taking a tad from trance’s dirty side, while Groovehead operated as his rawer, club-focused outlet. It’s as though hidden reservoirs of acid might be the only available energy source left for mankind: nothing will stop ‘Acid Energy’, ‘The Club’ and ‘Man Woman, Love’, triplet juggernauts of acid extraction hell-set on digging up those Earthy soils around the underground bunker dancefloor.
