Mary Gahnyei se encarga de hacer sonar la tercera referencia del sello Afterhouse Series, (subsello de Spazio Disponibile) con cuatro elegantes tracks originales.
The label run by Italian duo Donato Dozzy and Neel, Spazio Disponible, is back with the third edition of its Afterhouse series, this time enlisting Rome-born Mary Genhyei to deliver a set of percussive house grooves with additional production and mixdown by Dozzy. These are tracks caked with layers of grime and dust. Rhythms grind out and work you into a hypnotic state on the opener, with heavy kicks and dense percussive patterns that sound like a much rougher version of early Theo Parrish. ‘Dagba’ has an Afro and tribe tinge to the pendulous loops, then ‘Anima’ is cleaner and more serene with wispy pads and deeper techno low ends. ‘Dirty Sand’ has a late-night glow – synth hues flicker like neon as the drums stop and start until you succumb to their roughshod charms.
