Jane Doe’s Secret – Trip 53

Vladimir Dubyskin is making some of the most left-field, yet exciting, techno in the world. The Russian bizarro virtuoso is known for his signature sound of outlandish vocal samples and wild melodies over high intensity percussion. Jane Doe’s Secret marks his sixth release on Nina Kraviz’s label trip, each project as positively bonkers as the last. ‘All Inclusive Resort’ is at the head of the tracklist, a playful and vigorous track which sees catchy chants bounce around quirky sound effects and fist pumping percussion. ‘Whats Bitting You?’ follows, and doesn’t give any room to breathe keeping up the wild ride with surging basses, staccato vocal loops and high frequency synth screeches. ‘Midsummar’ is a wild departure into the world of trance, with a dash of Murlo-esque leads, before ‘gimme dat beat’ delves into the footwork spectrum. The 12″ is rounded off with ‘Party With Exit Visa’, a bass-heavy anthem you might hear Hamdi or Taiki Nulight drop on the main stage of some Miami festival, full to the brim with a reptilian-like glaze on the percussion and an off-kilter vocal that works a treat.
