Sweet Acid Lullabies – It’s 17
Dulces nanas ácidas para tus oídos. Producidas por RVDS y con remixes de varios artistas.
Earlier in the year, long-serving electronic musician and producer Richard Von Der Schulenberg (that’s RVDS to you and me) resurfaced after six years with Too Much Acid, a dancefloor-focused blend of beats, breaks and heavy TB-303 trickery. This extended, album-length sequel, Sweet Acid Lullabies, offers a kind of musical flip-side to that EP, with the German combining psychedelic acid lines and motifs with ambient textures, gentle melodies, and deep, dubby bass. It’s a simple idea, beautifully executed, with his numbered and frequently experimental ‘acid lullabies’ being joined by similarly out-there and avant-garde interpretations by other artists. It’s an intriguing, immersive and thoroughly absorbing affair.
