El asturiano Tensal regresa al sello Arts con un nuevo EP de cuatro cortes listos para partis las pistas de baile.
Tensal returns with a four-track set engineered for the hour the dancefloor closes ranks. The Spanish producer has long worked a seam between dub techno’s depth and Detroit’s tensile drive, and that balance holds steady here. ‘Renovatio’ builds through an unnerving, ever-thickening haze before dropping into a mighty, driving techno beat. ‘Yazuni’ introduces a circling melodic figure, carrying that same engulfing sense of atmosphere, though here it leans more uplifted, light filtering through the fog. ‘Zooe’ pulls things back into murkier territory, hypnotic and slightly menacing with its simplicity doing most of the work. ‘Dextra’ shifts toward a more percussive frame, jagged rhythms knocking against effects and a hornet-like bassline, while a firm snare pattern keeps everything anchored. It’s stark, and built to hold a room in place.
