Sketches EP Part 2 – Emerald 31

After Tarkno & Remco Beekwilder laid the foundations of their sound on the first part of this series, Part 2 builds the architecture with ten tracks across double wax that honour raw, old-school energy but rewires it into sharper, more refined grooves. The tracks are all the very definition of tools, but tools with purpose and character, whether that’s glitchy double hits or yawning pads on ’10’, deep drum funk on ’13’ or more roomy and pensive pad work on ’15. For those who caught Part 1, this has been keenly awaited, while for newcomers, it’s an equally compelling place to start.
