Vinyl Fanatiks delivers a long-awaited slice of UK rave history with this revivalist release featuring pirate radio legends and rave originators Fozbee & Cooz and Dimension. The A-side opens with ‘Free Your Mind,’ a taut, euphoric cut that sets the tone, before ‘Chamber Of Dreams (Remix)’ and ‘Life’ explore melodic textures and driving rhythms that capture the early 90s rave spirit. Dimension takes over the B-side with the murky atmosphere but celestial scale of ‘Phenomena,’ the crunchy drums and mad sampling of acid-laced peak time bomb ‘4 Thousand Years’ and ‘The Machine Dream,’ which is great drum interplay and atmospheric layers that sound like they have been beamed back from the future.
