An experimental software engineer with a wry eye for a tightly sprung groove and hypnotic texture, Yraki reveals his biggest release to date – Tendrils. EP in size, album in scope, the opening cut ‘Hushden’ sets an abstract scene before the Italian-in-London hurls us deep into body funk oblivion. Visceral, timeless and uncompromising, each of the cuts bumps with a broken drum and is riddled with strange alien textures. It’s a groove that sits somewhere between classical electro and futurist techno and is the perfect development from his heavily supported anthem ‘Percolate’. Highlights include the stuttering techno rolls of ‘Expose: Unravel’ and the wildly springy ‘Carbon Veil’. High grade.
