Planetary People – Ostgut Ton 39
Planetary Assault System nos deleita con un otro álbum en triple vinilo para el sello Ostgut Ton.
For three decades, Bedford boy Luke Slater has pushed techno into increasingly hostile terrain through his Planetary Assault Systems alias, sanding grooves down until they feel half-machine, half-psychological warfare. This latest Planetary Assault Systems outing on Ostgut Ton feels especially feral within that catalogue. ‘Into The Night’ rises through scorched acid fumes before ‘Labyrinth’ starts twitching with clipped tribal drums and paranoid synth chatter. ‘Sermon Of The Light Tides’ turns metallic feedback into something slightly psychotic, all shrieking circuitry and collapsing tension, then ‘Retina Burn’ keeps mutating beneath its 909 stomp like machinery overheating in real time. Then ‘Ha Jam’ arrives with rave stabs and clanging percussion, practically smirking through the smoke.
