Luis Goncalves dons his Lewis Fautzi shiesty for another dark, ghostly techno session, ‘Ghosts Don’t Text Me’. He’s been at these sorts of sonic ghost hunts since 2013, when early Jeff Mills support helped launch a career he’s since carried into Soma, Figure and Tresor releases. The sound design here is as technological as it is classically unsettling, ‘Paranoid Signals’, for example, incorporating both a classic two-note techno bleep-bloop and a sharp, viola trill sound effect, the type that might kick in during a horror film jumpscare.
