Synkro & Tom Jarmey producen tres tracks originales, y Pugilist y Silent Era se encargan de remezclarlos.
An unlikely (to the outside observer) pairing is found in Joe McBride aka Synkro and Tom Jarmey, not bridging worlds of lo-fi house and tricky future-deep dubstep (they’re looking well beyond their respective establishing sound-worlds) but rather running the junction between drum & bass, jungle and trip hop, followed by a Pugilist remix pulling the source material toward dub techno. Not a cold collab, Synkro remixed Jarmey’s ‘Negative’ on Oathcreations in 2024, and the partnership bloomed from there (it’s also not to mention their shared associations owing to a joint local Stockport scene and SK1 Records, which Synkro founded). ‘North Star’ is an exquisite EP, aggressive but deep; the title track serves darkstep drums, satisfyingly subtle unison separation in the bass, and a leading, bellwether vocal reverberating in vast, desiccated outdoor space.
