‘RAUF001’ launches Rauform Records with Markus Homm front and centre, pairing with UK dub-house architect Steve O’Sullivan for ‘The Cross’ and three more. Homm, Romanian-born and long enmeshed in the German house grid via Highgrade, Bondage and 8bit, repents here: ‘The Cross’ carries it to Calvary first, with a snaggy but loose minimal din setting a sophisticated tone. O’Sullivan’s presence is felt in the mix’s patience and low-end contour, as ‘Disconnect’ and ‘Space Invader’ sling low before an explicit, dub-structed remix from the latter face shows up for the latter big’un.
