Steven Petit aka Border One loves to return home, this being his grand seventh release for Kr!z’s Ghent imprint, Token. ‘Spectral Tension’ fits the labek like a freshly-cut key, as the Fuse resident and modular-laboratory operator works a certain celestial abstraction through ‘Spectral Tension’, ‘Lens Flare’, ‘Dilated Horizon’, and ‘Photon Decay’. The A2 especially runs a devious sequence underneath thundering claps, which never quite settle into one amplitude, gain registers shuttering like chattering teeth.
