You’d be hard-pushed to find an EP that oozes more authentic Detroit techno, electro and machine resistance than this new one from Robotron on Skynet Cybersonix. It’s rugged, retro-future body music starting with ‘Cyber Girl’ which is a turbo-charged electro-techno bumper with big chord stabs and ice-cold analogue rhythms. ‘Bitchcrusher is slow and sleazy and laced up with frosted synths and dark vocal murmurs, 8-bit computer melodies and an eternal sense of cosmic decay. ‘Jam To The Empire’ closes out with a sleazy and ghetto-tinged vibe that will arrest your every synapse.
