Kontakt Records reaches release 50 in style with a forward-facing 12″ from Van Boon, who has long been a favourite here ever since his ‘Dunning Kruger’ EP. ‘Trails’ is slow, deep, immersive and fine-grain dub soundscaping for the smallest of hours. On the flip, Italian Luigi Tozzi then takes ‘Trails’ apart twice, first as a remix that is less muggy and murky – the synths are cleaner and more sleek while the drums remain deeply comforting. His second offering is a Rephase that leans further into the atmospheric territory with even more depth and space, making them as heady as can be.
