Loops & Dubs EP Vol 2 – Planet Rhythm BLK 156

Second instalment of Xqte’s ‘Loops And Dubs’ series on Planet Rhythm, following the unpronounceable but great ‘PRRUKBLK148’ from 2025. The French artist sees format as concept: this one packs extra loop sequences physically pressed between the main weapons, these being more and relatively repeititive functional DJ tools taking up the grooves between the named pieces (though it’s all repetitive), the white label equivalent of getting nine or ten things for the price of a standard four-piece haul. It’s all serious weight at that – though the loops tend to recycle and study the bassless reprise sections from the main ones.
