Fusion – Attack 2506

A new double 12″ evidences a sound plan of Attack, drawing four defining cuts from the mid-90s arrays of Emmanuel Top, master architect of European hard techno. Attack, as well as Triangle and Force Inc, held court to Top’s naturally but unavowedly ethereal sound, as he emerged from northern France at a certain but easygoing pace in that undeniably good period. ‘Fusion’ and ‘Spherique’ reg his signature approach: relentless, looping structures, acid-etched synth lines and an unyielding but sparing instinct. Following the strong reception to the Legacy of Attack Records boxset, this release isolates four essential weapons that helped define the sound of European techno in the 1990s.
