Storm On Earth lanza la segunda referencia de su sello homónimo con cuatro tracks originales recién salidos del horno.
More than a year after the head-turning first drop from this anonymous label and producer, Storm on Earth is back with a second sizzling missive. This is techno that deals in texture and atmosphere as much as straight up physical power: ‘Slate I’ is a loopy sound coated in grime and dirt, with hi-hats reflecting the only light in what is an otherwise dark mix. ‘Slate II’ gets more up on its toes with dubby low ends and more luminous synths but still coated in plenty of years of filth and fuzz. ‘Fish’ speaks to early Jeff Mills-style cosmic loop techno and ‘Frog’ is an introspective closer that rides an unstoppable train of deep techno power.
