The 20th release for Analog Concept sees a helping hand in Acidulant aka Neil Hales, 00s-onward Maltese kingpin of the international acid electro scene. ‘Run To Survive’ has a softer mix and master than they often come, but that allows room for the acid lines to really breathe; the trademark snaggly wriggle given the EQ treatment it deserves, as opposed to masking the sound off behind clipping, as is so often done. ‘Chordzi’ here also makes a compelling melodic example of the sound, climbing to brass-swelling, modwheel-happy heaven.
