Following the release of his first EP on French label Phonogramme, Byron The Aquarius brings his cultured brand of heady deep house back to Skylax, an imprint he last released on 12 months ago. As usual, there’s plenty to set the pulse racing while soothing the mind. Check first ‘Back Zion (Tomorrow)’, where soulful and spoken female vocal samples rub shoulders with dusty electric piano loops atop a squelchy bassline and heady house beats, before admiring the jazzy, sample-rich house deepness of ‘Enter The Co$mos (Fool)’. ‘Mr Captain Crunchhh’ [sic] is ultra-deep, intergalactic techno with effects-haven spoken word vocals, while title track ‘ORGASMANIA’ is a sleazy, otherworldly late-night jack-track topped off by X-rated spoken word snippets.
