Basic Rhythm – Orbe 20
Minniemen protagoniza la vigésima referencia del sello Orbe con cuatro tracks originales recién salidos del horno.
Amsterdam-based Minniemen keeps things stripped back on these four precision-tooled techno cuts, but things never feel overly sparse. ‘Basic Rhythm’ moves through four tracks of deep, tightly wound techno with enough space in the production for the details to sink in. The title track sets the tone with a steady, hypnotic groove, while ‘Non-dual’ leans further into darker, more heady territory. ‘Soliton’ is an icy submersion in hi-fidelity frequencies and sparse Northern landscapes with flickers of human life off in the distance. ‘Hissing’ closes things out with a similar lost-on-the-tundra vibe as snowy textures drift over elongated rhythms. There’s nothing wasted here, just quality stuff for late-night sets.
