Born in Ukraine and now based in New York, Kurilo heads up Trance Pandemic (amongst other labels) and now lands on it with his wonky take on minimal and tech. ‘A Pleasure To Remember (with Matas – XTSY mix)’ opens with an elastic groove laden with FX and liquified synths. ‘Brighton Paradise’ has a dark, ghoulish spirit perfect for after parties when reality blurs and ‘Elastic Man’ (with Tom Peters) is a lithe, shimmering dub that leaves long synth trails and is fleshed out by warming reverb. Closer ‘4 AM Breakfast’ is another warped bit of deep tech that reminds of the early days of Tyrant. Class stuff.
