Split#5 – Pi Electronics VA 11

The much-loved Split series on Pi Electronics comes to an end with this final outing and it finds Spanish producer Hurtado and Greek producer Nikitas Grs taking one side each. Hurtado opens with bold, muscular drums and industrial-leaning textures on both ‘Show Of Force’ and ‘Bad Company ‘, while ‘The End (feat Genevieve GV)’ is hurried and urgent in a way that it feels as though it may collapse. Nikitas Grs opens with psychedelia-infused noise techno on ‘Susanoo’ and ‘Anoriotos’ then slams down dubby drums and laces them up with freaky ghouls.
