From My Soul – Backspin 09
Flug protagoniza la novena referencia del sello Backspin con cuatro tracks originales. Incluye remix de Kashpitzky.
Argentinean Flug strips club music back to its essentials here and manages to coax tension out of his loops. Tight kicks, sparse hi-hats and deep, organic basslines form the foundations to build on and then deft melodic details and modulated textures reshape each track. Rather than relying on heavy effects, the release places its focus on arrangement and fine adjustment. That means small shifts in automation, filters and delays all have an oversized impact. The result sits between techno, minimal and tech house and is deliberately uncluttered in a way that makes the music all the more focused.
