25 Years Visitor Part 3 – Visitor 25 03

This sampler EP makes up the middle point of a five-part EP series, 25 Years Visitor, collecting the best contributions of the Ghent-based label Visitor to the Belgian minimal and tech house scene. Where that label was inspired by the many magic goings-on in London from the year 2000 onwards, this compilation largely collects original tracks by their own A&R Fred Nasen, in amidst original sprinklings by other artists in the Visitor asteroid belt. Claiming his right to appreciation – he worked as an import manager at London-based NEWS Records, building the kind of outsider’s expertise that would warrant it – this third part consists entirely of Nasen’s own works, from the desirous slink that ‘Empty Bags’ to the synthetic beast movement ‘Definition Dub’ and the technical scratch ‘Tranquility (1998 Version)’.
