UVB’s early work gets dragged out of the archive on Nouveau dossier contenant des elements anciens, a four-track joint release between Tar Hallow and System Revival Recordings. The title reads like a forgotten desktop folder and the music sounds like something dug out of a machine room after hours. It is raw, rough-edged techno for long nights with heads down and lights low. The hardware works hard throughout these burning cuts from the earth-shaking ‘Track 1’ to the more mental and acidic womp of ‘Track 2.’ ‘Track 3 ‘ is eye-watering raw with scarring, rusted metals brushing up against massive kicks and the closer is gallivanting and loopy techno bubbler infused with sinewy electronics.
