Acid Kickers Vol 2 – Zodiak Commune 44
Gran elenco de artistas se juntan para dar forma al volumen 2 del Acid Kickers del sello Zodiak Commune.
Dutch label Zodiak Commune Records launched this rave-minded series only back in February, but already they follow it up with a second collection «structured around heavy kick drums and driving 303 lines.» It’s primo gear for warehouse assaults and opens with the acid lacerations of Franz & Shape’s ‘Fuzz.’ MRKR brings more ragged and stomping drums on ‘Rawkus’, which has a more muted and deeply buried synth squirming to get out. Anml Mthr’s ‘Sparkle Muffin’ has some of the most cavernous kicks we’ve heard this year and Paul Renard then lets his 303 pulse and twitch all through the speedy techno drums of ‘Kompakt 74’. Strobe-lit sounds for crowds that like it dirty.
