Shades of UK techno and Spanish electro meet on this ragged new EP for Activity FM and much of it seems to have been made with some proper hardware. Jerome Hill opens with ‘Baptised’, a frazzled UK rave-infused track featuring edgy stabs and system-shaking kicks. Luke’s Anger follows with ‘Baby, You Don’t Have Time,’ a tight, ghetto house-tinged techno banger. The Spanish contingent takes over with Dark Vektor’s ‘Recorriendo el Trayecto’, a moody electro-funk journey with gliding synths and sci-fi vocals, before Computer Madness closes the EP with ‘We Orbit’, a stripped-back exploration of machine funk. Concise, hard-hitting and cross-European weapons.
