After Hours EP – Frenzy 11

Tarkno guides a dehydrated night with ‘After Hours’ EP, a six-track brunt offensive for Frenzy Records. ‘Deadline’ and ‘Anxious’ establish a katabatic pattern-play deliberate and dark, with no fresh water for miles: this is parched music. Jacobworld’s remix is even scarier, its hand-cranking sound resounding with the heft and scuzz of an ungreased railroad cart. ‘Morning Drive’ introduces a relatively breathable but still cumbering interlude, before the original ‘After Hours’ loops back around to the doghouse, where we find rounder-outer Remco Beekwilder in full final ferocity.
