Agesta – Kilotoni 06
Kilotoni lanza la sexta referencia de su sello homónimo con cuatro tracks originales recién salidos del horno.
Kilotoni appeared out of the blue in 2024 and declared itself to be a new label dedicated to putting out unreleased techno from the 90s and 2000s. Anonymous producers turn over their tape archives for fresh pressings without wanting any credit, and the sodas have ranged from peak to acid to mineral so far. This latest features four demos, rescued from DATs and cassettes, and they carry raw early-90s character. The acid-heavy A1 has a proper hardware funk to it, while A2 slows things down with shuffled drums and softer chords. On the flip, B1 gets bouncier and more tech house, before B2 goes deeper into rough acid and ghetto techno territory. Very effective tunes that sound bang up to date.
