And The Pattern Repeats – Primal Instinct 11
Temudo protagoniza la referencoa número 11 de Primal Instinct con cinco trackazos originales.
Portuguese techno gets a grotesque refresh, as Temudo links with the Primal Instinct camp for ‘And The Pattern Repeats’, visually inspired by memories of carnival chaos in the artist’s hometown. The shindig in question is likely the Torres Vedras Carnival, which, in the Catholic pre-Lent tradition, sees satirical floats and caricatured effigies march in saturnalian step, welcoming life’s sheer absurdity. Dropped in sync with the festival, the likes of ‘U Used To Laugh At My Jokes’ and ‘Lax To Arms’ brings a surprisingly industrial sound and a truly ruthless restlessness. Only the track that gives the name to the release brings anything remotely semblant of street-parading irreverence; the relative machine-coldness of the EP is a remarkable contrast to its muse.
