The shindig in question is likely the Torres Vedras Carnival, which, in the Catholic pre-Lent tradition, sees satirical floats and caricatured effigies march in saturnalian step, welcoming life’s sheer absurdity. Dropped in sync with the festival, the likes of ‘U Used To Laugh At My Jokes’ and ‘Lax To Arms’ brings a surprisingly industrial sound and a truly ruthless restlessness.
