Isaiah hails from the Netherlands but now makes the long-distance trip to Planet Rhythm for a stylish six trekker that delves deep into techno’s most immersive and greyscale corners. The sounds are fine-grained and doused in melancholy, like a misty Autumnal walk on a cold day, but on a planet not in our solar system. ‘Kerkusta’ skips and skates with dub weight; there is a kinked machine funk to ‘Nothingness ‘ and ‘Basement’ is more subliminal and clean. ‘Overwhelmed’ layers up bass in a way that feels like its falling over itself and that makes it all the more compelling. A brilliant series of well-crafted, high-functioning deep techno tools.
