Para la referencia número 81 de Polegroup, tenemos el nacimiento de K.O.M.S., el dúo formado por Óscar Mulero y Kessell.
Kessell and Oscar Mulero helped shape techno as we know it and are now working together in the studio for the first time. ‘Beyond the Noise’ opens straight into it, all solid main sequence and no unnecessary breakdowns. ‘Raw & Unbroken’ twists 909 tones through filtered, overprocessed distortion for something weapon-grade, while ‘Rooted’ locks into an obsessive, almost martial groove that stays funky despite itself. ‘Silent Forces’ pulls back into more abstract, floating territory to end an unsurprisingly strong meeting of two techno veterans who know exactly what they’re doing.
