Beyond The Void – Mechatronica 44

Tel Aviv producer PRZ delivers his first full EP for Berlin imprint Mechatronica with ‘Beyond The Void’, a six-track 12″ tracer and tightening of the screws adjoining electro and techno. Known for earlier drops on Libertine and Maison Close, PRZ leans into hard-edged percussion and shadowy synth design here. The set moves from the title cut’s tunnelling drive through the jagged stabs of ‘Rekeep’ and the robotic pulse of ‘Tronix’, into the wiry funk of ‘Domestix’ and the cosmic churn of ‘We Are Space’. A collaboration with French producer Unklevon, ‘Interaction’, ups the intensity, while digital buyers also get the exclusive ‘Black Hole’. A stark statement, as the artist pushes his sound deeper into the machine.
