Boojum EP – Fusion Of Thought 03

Composer, DJ, and producer Muzmin is a newly emerging name from the San Francisco Bay Area who lands on a new label out of the always electronically relevant city of Rotterdam. He has already picked up plenty of followers from his early EPs on this imprint and now returns with more solid techno that manages to be both thought-provoking in terms of sound design and highly effective for the club. ‘Ariel’ is like a depth charge on a mission – the drums roll on and the deep-sea electronics evoke plenty of rich mental imagery. ‘Strobo’ has scraping sounds and scruffy kicks that skate along a warehouse floor and ‘Siyafer’ is more heady and unsettling, then ‘Infrapink’ shuts down with tightly coiled drum funk.
