BOY Records was founded by Michael Zosel in 1988 and has already been mined on this label before. Where the first Timeless Technology volume captured the label’s formative early years, this second instalment extends through 1993 and tracks harder techno, acid productions and early European trance across 24 tracks from New Scene, Absurd, Cybex Factor and more. It makes for a well-assembled snapshot of German techno’s foundational years way before some of the more dominant names, labels and tropes emerged. Informative stuff for anyone tracing the genre’s roots beyond the headlines.
