Primarily recognised for his deep techno work across Token, Bassiani and Key Vinyl, Stockholm’s Dold steps outside his usual territory for this third outing from the Caricia crew. It’s a top debut featuring four tracks of euphoric, mischief-laced work but where his recorded work typically sits at the stripped-back end of the 4/4 spectrum, here he leans fully into the house zone without losing any of the looped-out intensity. ‘Milkshake Love’ and the delicate ‘Ggentle’ open with deep and supple vibes, while ‘Vulcano’ shifts the mood with some extra force and ‘She Lalah’ closes things out with a knowing wink. Label heads VIL and CRAVO have made a smart choice with their first outside signing here.
